Life is not about driving along the road where it leads; it’s about choosing the right path with courage or making a new path following the heart blindly. After all, it is heart who will be judging you when you turn back to judge whether you are happy about your decision or not.
Turning point is the point where opportunity knocks the door with a number of luscious choices to choose from. The right choice makes a better life. One of that moment happened in my life when I got graduated as a computer engineer (which was chosen by following the family’s wish and also the mass choice). The believable best part is , I was given a job offer from one of the well-known IT firms when I was in my final year. Everyone in my family was happy but I wasn’t. I had different paths to choose.
I attended the interview just to test my efficiency at the interview but definitely not with an intention to work with them. Between exams were over; graduation ceremony done and I was in a state to choose what’s next without any delay.
That’s when I spoke about my long term dream about studying business abroad (UK) to my family for the very first time. My parents said a big “NO”. But I knew I can make it done with few efforts. I have convinced everyone around me. And finally started processing everything for my new start. If only you were under my skin, you will know what I exactly felt that moment when I was all done to fly.
I was alone and knew nothing about anything. I was flying in flight for the very first time. It was one of the toughest and biggest choices I have ever made. I landed, started and completed my degree with real challenges everyday.
That one turning point has still been making a greater impact in my life not just about a business degree but about living life with all the ups and downs with more courage and more inner strength. It is all for good. That’s when my new life started over a degree with more visions for future.
A new perspective with a good change followed by a new start is an absolute truth to be tasted. My move away from my family to an unknown country was difficult and hard but it was good for a good change. I had struggles on achieving my dreams but I had faith in me and had courage to face the world – the world with two faces both good and evil. The good things have taught me to live with optimism and the bad taught me lessons for life. Everything happened is good and it is good for a good change and a good new start.
