Well, though there were so many reasons to move to New Zealand, the primary reason was ste’s job. Ste had worked in NZ before wedding and he always had a heart for it. When time came for a change in job, he had to choose NZ. He had an Australian PR status so moving to New Zealand was not a great big deal visa wise. But otherwise it wasn’t the same before wedding and after wedding. After wedding, you are in a place to think for two. If you have kids, then you need to stand on all of their shoes in taking decisions. I was pregnant when ste moved to NZ. When were in a state to decide what is good for our little one. NZ seemed a better choice in every other way.
Here are the top 7 other reasons to move to New Zealand.
1. NZ is uncrowded with very less population
Coming from a city like Bangalore in India which has a population of 11.5 million, NZ seemed very less populated which has a population of just 4.5 million. A city’s population is 2.5 times more than the population of a country. Almost all the malls close at 6pm. Like birds, like human rest after sunset. No big traffic, Good roads, Getting done the work is simple and faster. In total you can enjoy the pace of life calm and quiet at its own beauty.
2. NZ is scenic and beautiful
NZ’s landscape itself is unique, beautiful at its core, unspoiled, well conserved, well respected, less polluted and scenic in every angle. Simply, you can’t just stay inside. You can find an exotic spot of splendor just around few miles wherever you live in NZ.
3. The four seasons and the moderate weather
It has been almost 10 months now. I have always felt that God has a season switch exclusive for NZ as it changes exactly at the month start the season table. The four seasons and the season change is that stunning and exclusive. The weather here is moderate not too cold and not too hot. One of the main good reason to live to here.
4. Fresh of everything (Lease polluted)
When the whole world is talking about pollution, NZ is exceptional. NZ air is fresh with least pollution and the NZ land is unspoiled with its own serene beauty.
5. Work Life balance is unbelievably awesome
Coming from a country like India where 9 to 5 job is a dream for almost everyone, NZ seemed a good place to work and live. In India, even if you had happened to land in 9-5 job, the commute takes the remaining time. The work culture is too good in NZ and there is merely no work pressure. The commute is easy too as NZ has the least population comparatively. The highest possible traffic jam does not exceeds 10 mins. Mondayisation is one more good thing. Means, if a public holiday falls on a Sunday you will get the consecutive Monday as holiday. Very good, isn’t it?
6. NZ is overall safe
Before moving to NZ, I have read that NZ is overall safe to live. It wasn’t wrong. NZ is safe. So far, I haven’t heard anything bad about this country apart from very few accidents and most probably news like “How Doc rescued a seal who had lost her path”. NZ is serious about conservation.
7. NZ is a good place to raise kids
Moving with 6 month old baby, I was worried much initially. But NZ have never made me wrong for taking a big move from India to NZ. NZ is one of the best place for kids especially under 5’s. Exclusively, Children from birth to pre-schoolers have loads of activities like Play centres, mainly music, story time in libraries, parks, reserves and so much more. Not to forget the nature, they get to see and enjoy every kind of natural beauty and other natural activities like kayaking, fishing, hiking etc., This is one of the great reason to move to New Zealand.
I believe the above stated reasons are good enough to justify that our decision to move to New Zealand wasn’t wrong.
The above reasons are based on our own personal views. There might be thousands of other great reasons to move to New Zealand.
